Hi {{first name | there}}!

We’re excited to share our plans for NeuroDivergent Library Leaders conversations for the rest of 2026!

As usual, these will be open facilitated conversations, following our community guidelines and code of conduct.

We hope to see you this fall. Please also share this with other neurodivergent leaders in your network!

August: Leading While Neurodivergent – Strengths, Costs, Adaptation, and Masking

How has neurodivergence shaped the way you lead? In this community conversation, we will reflect on the strengths we bring, the costs we carry, and the difference between developing useful leadership skills and masking who we are. Together, we will explore what supports more intentional, sustainable, and self-trusting leadership.

Thursday, 27 Aug at 5pm London / 12pm ET / 11am CT / 10am MT / 9am PT

September: The Cost of Masking

Masking can help neurodivergent leaders navigate workplace expectations, but it can also require significant cognitive, emotional, and physical energy. This session will offer a reflective masking audit to help participants notice where, when, and why they mask; what masking makes possible; and where its costs might be reduced. The goal is not complete unmasking, but greater choice, safety, and sustainability.

Tuesday, 29 Sept at 4pm London / 11am ET / 10am CT / 9am MT / 8am PT

October: Rejection Sensitivity, Feedback, and Leadership – Creating Space Between Reaction and Response

Feedback can activate experiences of being misunderstood, criticized, or excluded. In this conversation, we will explore what happens when feedback triggers rejection sensitivity and identify practices for pausing, regulating, discerning what is useful, and responding thoughtfully. We will consider how to remain open to learning without giving others authorship over our self-worth.

Thursday, 22 Oct at 5pm London / 12pm ET / 11am CT / 10am MT / 9am PT

November: Navigating Difficult Conversations – Clarity, Regulation, and Repair

Difficult conversations require leaders to manage content, emotions, relationships, power, and uncertainty—often all at once. Neurodivergence can add complexity while also bringing strengths such as honesty, preparation, empathy, and pattern recognition. This session will explore practical ways to prepare, communicate clearly, request processing space, respond when intentions are misread, and repair when a conversation does not go as intended.

Monday, 16 Nov at 5pm London / 12pm ET / 11am CT / 10am MT / 9am PT

December: Vacation!

We’ll be taking some time to rest and recharge, and hope you’ll also be able to relax this December!

As always, feel welcome to leave a comment or reply with questions!

We hope to see you soon,

Angela & Annie
